*CALL FOR 2024 CONFERENCE ABSTRACTS! Our theme for the annual conference at FSU on October 7 and 8 is “Let’s Grow”. This theme speaks to many aspects of our roles as Research Development and Research Administration professionals as well as the work of the Florida Alliance. Sessions will be focused on the following tracks: Individual Professional Development, Organizational Growth (RD Offices), Growing FL-RDA, and Special Topics. Please consider facilitating a session at the conference by completing this “Call for Abstracts”. Feel free to contact the Planning Committee if you have questions or need more information.

*(Sep. 2023) FL-RDA involved as key partner in two other NSF GRANTED awards: To advise and assist in statewide professional network creation, FL-RDA partners with two groups. The first is a group from Michigan called MiRAD Beacon (No. 2324590) focused on working with RA and RD professionals around the state to grow research capacity at their institutions. Another group, called INTEGRaL, also received a GRANTED award (No. 2324594) and is focused on Illinois and the surrounding region to conduct similar work.

*REGISTRATION IS OPEN! The 2024 Florida Research Development Alliance (FL-RDA) conference will be on Monday, October 7, 2024 and Tuesday, October 8, 2024. The conference will be held in-person at Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. More information and next steps to register are posted at the Annual Conference webpage.

*(RECURRING) Monthly Meeting – FL-RDA holds a monthly virtual meeting on the second Monday of each month, where members share best practices and facilitate collaborations in order to foster multi- and interdisciplinary research efforts within the state of Florida.
*(RECURRING) The Alliance hosts an annual conference in the Fall that gathers research development professionals from across the state of Florida for a day of presentations, discussions, and workshops.
